Overall Personality:
Due to her mother's crazy ideas, Pix always felt like a freak her entire life. She strives to be regular and noticed while still trying to respect her mother's point of views. She is a very quiet girl who could also be described as timid. She's a very jumpy girl, with many psychological fears. Another good way to describe the outcome of her early life in the muggle world would be to say that it caused her to add the word shy to her list of personality traits.
Despite how she's felt like the ugly duckling in the muggle world all of her life, Pix is very ordinary. She's a girly-girl who loves flowers, stuffed animals, and reading. She's not smart, nor dumb. Pix is kind to everyone she meets. Although she's not the type of girl to stick up for herself often, she will always stick up for her friends. Pix is respectful to her elders, as she learned from a very young age through her Japanese culture.

History:
The Nakamura family originated from Japan. Before Pix was born, that's where her parents lived with her grandmother on her father's side. Although they were all wizards, Pix's mother still preferred to keep the family living amongst muggles. Her reasoning was considered quite strange to most people. She simply felt that living amongst muggles made her feel special. She liked to be the different one, and the one to have great secrets. Her father went along with it, because he just wanted to have whatever made his wife happy.
The family, including Pix's parents and grandmother, moved to London when she was five years old. Her father's banking job had transferred him there for a managing position. Normally, her father wouldn't have wanted to uproot his family to an entirely new country, but her mother felt that a change of scenery would be nice. In the long run, it would bring the family more money as well. So, he felt there was no reason to say no.
When the Hogwarts letter came, it was a huge debate amongst the Nakamura household. Both her father and grandmother thought it was a good idea for her to be around other wizards, even if it wasn't permanent. It was a much safer environment to learn magic. Her mother felt that the three of them combined could teach her just as well as any magical school could, so their was no point in sending her there. The debate finally ended when Pix spoke up. She let her parents know that she did want to go to Hogwarts. She was tired of standing out, and wanted to be in a place where the only secrets the kids had where who was dating who. So, her mother gave in.
Pix's first five years at Hogwarts were wonderful. As quiet as she was, she managed to make good friends. Her grades were average, and she passed by unnoticed by the teachers. That was a good thing that came out of her average grades. She loved being in a place that she could just blend into the background. In the muggle world, she would always have weird things happen that she had to try her best to explain away. As long as she never had to go to a muggle school again, she was happy. At Hogwarts, she was finally able to be who she was in peace.
better have looks or brains
everything else is trivial.
Roleplay Sample:
The atmosphere within Alucard High seemed quieter than usual today. Max wasn't used to seeing such a small amount of people in the common room. After all, it was the most entertaining place to be as far as many of the students were concerned. For Max, he didn't really care where he was. He got his entertainment from secretly watching cartoons on his old-school Video Now underneath his blankets in his dorm with his stuffed cow, Milky. He felt his addiction to human cartoons was such a guilty pleasure. As far as the blue cow, Milky, that was a far less guilty of a pleasure. It was the only thing he had from his biological parents. He felt it was the only thing that really connected him to them. It was one of those childhood toys he knew he'd have forever.
However, today the light elf didn't feel like hiding himself away in his dorm room. He wanted to be out were things were happening. He had spent the entire morning walking the halls of the school, seeing if he could spot some action. He came up short. No one was training against each other, no one was studying in the library to fiercely, and no one was gossiping loud enough for anyone to hear. It was most likely the chilly weather that had everyone so bummed out. That, or there was something going on that he didn't know about.
Max had finally settled on sitting in the common room, watching what ever was on one of the televisions. It wasn't like he'd join in if he saw any active students anyways. He was one to sit in the background. Nobody needed to know his talents as far as he was concerned. Anyone could end up being his enemy, and he'd never even know it. Although he'd like to make friends, his adoptive father had taught him better. Cal was a very strong elf, and Max knew better than to go against his wishes.
Seeing as no one was watching it anyways, Max picked up the remote and began to flip through channels. Deciding on the regular old news, Max put the remote back on the arm of the couch.
