Overall Personality
Marae is a very out-going girl who loves to be involved in everything. She joins and helps out at every school event and is a natural born leader. Her large knowledge base comes in handy when it comes to such things. Others that aren't so likely to succeed in life disgust her. She believes that everyone can go somewhere, they just have to get off their asses.
Most people would probably add weird to Marae's personality traits. She loves anything different. She matches her clothes in ways that other people wouldn't dare, and she isn't afraid to load on the pink. When in though, Marae is one to talk to herself. She finds that it helps her remember things better then just saying something in her head. She's been caught randomly dancing and starring off into space at times. In her spare time, she folds paper into animals and names them all.
A rude side can always be added into Marae's personality traits. If you say something political that Marae doesn't like or just anything she doesn't agree with in general, she's the type to make a snarky remark. She's fine in friendly debates, but if you're being ridiculous, she'd be the one to tell you. The one thing Marae can't seem to learn to bite her tongue about is hair. If your hair is frizzy or just plain looks like crap, she'll tell you. Sometimes she doesn't mean to be offensive, it just happens.

History:
Unlike most of the children attending Hogwarts, Marae was born in America to a wizard father and a muggle mother. Her story starts way before she was even born. Marae's mother was a book store owner, but she was not into the fantasy tales and romantic stories. Amy, her mother, was big on biographies and hard facts. She love her job and spent most of her time there. Deven, Marae's father, was a regular customer at Amy's bookstore. Being as beautiful as Amy way, it didn't take long for Deven to fall for her. The two fell in love, they married, and had a daughter.
Amy was very uninterested by Deven's wizard side, and she didn't care too much for knowing all the facts about the wizarding world. She felt more comfortable amung her own people. So, they decided to raise their daughter in the muggle world until she was old enough to send off to Hogwarts, much to Amy's dislike. Being a young girl in the muggle world, Marae grew attached to it and didn't bother to focus much on her magical skills. She began very smart, very fast being around her mother's book store so often. She read anything and everything she could get her hands on.
It wasn't until Deven gave young Marae a wizard book on spells for your hair that Marae became very interested in the wizard side of herself. She couldn't believe you could dye your hair without actually having to dye it an damage it and other things related to the subject. From that, she began to learn more about other wizard related things, and kept up on her studies.
Marae's first day at Hogwarts was one of the greatest days of her life. Everything about the place intrigued her. Due to her incredible brain, she was immediately sorted into Ravenclaw. She quickly joined the Quidditch team as a chaser to make friends. Since that day, she's spent most of her days in the library and helping many students with their hair in what she choose to call "Marae's Underground Salon," which was really just a back corner of the library no teacher ever thought to go to. Of course, she made profit.

Eli placed his hand gently on Clare's shoulder after she turned around to stop her from leaving. He didn't want her to go without actually knowing that he really didn't mean it in that way. He just wasn't sure how to act around her or anyone else at this moment.
"No, stay..." Eli spoke. "I've kind of been meaning to spend some time with you anyways. So, why not here and now?"
He let out a sigh that he hoped wouldn't sound like he was regretting what he just said or like she was a pain in the ass or something. He didn't mean it like that at all.
"Clare... I'm really sorry...about everything."
Even though Clare already knew about his girlfriend and the accident, he still felt like he had to apologize for being a jerk like he was being before he had told her. It had been on his mind for a while, and he still felt like an ass hole even though Clare forgave him. He wanted to make it up to her, because she was so understanding about the whole situation. Clare was such a great person, and she deserved to be treated so much better then him.
Besides, Eli didn't think he deserved to be happy after what he did. Clare made him happy. That meant, even though Clare was waiting on him and giving him time, that he could never really be with her. She was too amazing, and Eli was bad luck. He'd probably end up finding a way to ruin her life too even if it wasn't as drastic.
