Overall Personality
Gemini tries to keep the people in her life wrapped around her pinky finger. She keeps around only the useful, the interesting, or the challenging. She does have some reservations about blood status, but she's not quite as prejudice as some of the others. She adores her father, and her brother.
She tends to be a little bit shy around people she does not know. She prefers to easily blend into the background rather than bringing attention to herself. She views herself as socially inept so she tends to keep to herself. When she is comfortable around someone, she is snarky and even a little bit on the bitchy side. She had a "if you don't like it get out" sort of attitude, which may come from the years of being scrutinized by all of the pureblood women and children.
Despite her general shyness she can be pretty devious. She likes causing a little hell.
She was never really prim and proper like her parents expected of her. She preferred hanging out with her brother and his friends than any of the little girls that she met. She is still that way. She has found the women in her life to be unreliable or backstabbers.
keep moving foreward
history shapes our future.
Place of Residence: Malfoy Manor
Birthplace: St. Mungos
Father's Name:Draco Malfoy
Mother's Name: Astoria [greengrass] Malfoy
Siblings: Scorpious Malfoy, brother
History: Gemini was an accident, plain and simple. They already had their son, their heir. They didn't need another child. They weren't against the idea, but she came a little unexpectedly. She was doted on and spoiled just like any other Malfoy child would be, but she hadn't been planned.
Narcissa Malfoy had been ecstatic, she had always wanted a granddaughter and would often babysit the little girl, along with her brother.
She was always a daddy's girl. Right from the beginning. She knew how to get things she wanted from him, and she liked it that way. She was the baby of the family and was treated as such, much to her despair.
As she grew up, her mother took her to tea with other pureblood women in their social ring. She always got picked on by the other little girls because she was quite small as a child, not to mention a little bit of a tomboy. She didn't like playing dress up of with dolls she would much rather be playing with her brother on a broom, or something of that nature.
She hated those little get togethers and she still does. The people never change, but the girls get older, and meaner. In school she avoids the girls she is forced to spend her holidays with on occassion.
Gemini does not have the best relationship with her mother. They woman was dissapointed she did not turn out more like herself. She would often scold and berate the girl when she got dirty, or did something she did not like. Now that she's older she and her mother still don't have the best of relationships. The woman constantly tries to play matchmaker with her and the other pureblood males in their social ring, but Gem finds the meetings stiff, and the boys unnapealing, at least so far. To her mother, she is supposed to be the good little future housewife, something that Gemini was completely against.
Hogwarts was something she looked foreward to since the day her father first told her about it. She had been giddy her first day on the train and probably made a total fool of herself. She had been terrified when she had been sorted, she wanted to make her father proud and he expected her to be a Slytherin. Like he was, like her brother is, and mother and grandparents were. The sorting hat on her head felt like years, rather than just a few short minutes. She knew it had almost sorted her into Ravenclaw, but finally decided on Slytherin in the end.
In school she still got picked on. She was still a very short girl, not to mention a little odd. She loved all of her classes, and despite the challenges she passed all of her classes with flying colors. Just as her father expected.
Second year went by much the same. She went home for holidays and tentatively made some friends. She was slowly getting taller so she hoped things would start looking up for her. Due to being picked on so much she gained a bit of a shyness problem. She was quiet and didn't talk a lot to others.
Third year was when things started to look up for her. At least, that depended on how you looked at it. She got fed up with always being in the shadow of her brother. She got tired with constantly being picked on and with all of that building up inside her she just...blew up. Which really meant she hexed a girl who was making fun of her one day. She just could not help it. She snickered all the way up to the Headmaster's office.
After that she developed a bit of a rebellious streak. She played pranks on house members and non house members. It helped that she was a bit of a quiet girl, because unless she was caught red-handed no one really suspected her.
better have looks or brains
everything else is trivial.
Roleplay Sample:
Addie was restless in the Slytherin common late this night. Most everyone worth speaking to had already turned in, needing to be ready for classes in the morning. Adonenniel, however, was a bit of an insomniac. She knew it, her brother knew it, even her parents knew it. Her dad bought her the best sleeping draught money could buy, yet she didn't take it. It always made her a little nauseous, which tended not to condone sleeping. She tried getting a different one from the nurse but she was allergic to the one she kept on hand. It was really a lose, lose situation. She looked around the common, hoping to find someone, anyone to talk to. It was useless, the only people left up were a bunch of idiot boys crowding around a game of wizards chess. It was good that it was nearly impossible to cheat at the game, otherwise it would have probably turned into a bloody brawl in the common. Slytherins weren't known for their trustworthiness, but everyone knows that.
Addie stood from her position on the dark leather couch, no longer content to sit and watch the fire dance in the fireplace, and the night was too dark to see through the water of the window. There were perks to having a common room under water, it gave someone something to stare at when she did not feel like upholding a conversation. She was happy no one followed when she exited into the halls, she had earlier decided that if she was going to be awake she should probably get ahead in her homework. She had an essay due in History of Magic in a week, it was on the founders of Hogwarts. She hated the class with a passion, the teacher was dull and in no way made the subject interesting for his students. That didn't mean she didn't need to pass the class with top marks. Her father would expect nothing less. She always had to be the best, the brightest, not only for her father but for herself. She knew it was probably bad to expect so much of yourself but she didn't really care. All she knew is she wanted to be on top. She wanted to have power and be in control. She would not follow orders for the rest of her life, it wasn't in her nature. She was a leader, she would be the best, not some lackie that is good only for being used.
As she made her way up the stairs, to the third floor, she entered the library, her long blonde hair swishing behin her. She had the sides pulled back and it was flipped up in a semi-bun, letting the ends flow out like spikes. The rest of her hair was pulled in front over her shoulders. She had magiced streaks in her hair to be green, and she was wearing a beige slightly see-through top, with a deep green bra underneath, as well as a beige and green tutu with shiny green leggings underneath. She also had on a pair of 6 inch stack heals, making her just barely 5'4 into nearly 5'10.
The rhythmic clack of her feet must have tipped off another library-goer of her presence, because Addie heard the shuffle of books. She knew it was probably to reach for their wand, Addie followed the noise, curious as to who was in the library with her. She absentmindedly wondered who it was, praying it wasn't a prefect or head girl, she didn't need to get points docked right now. The voice didn't sound familiar, however, so it might not be a prefect and it definitely wasn't the head girl. She would know that voice anywhere, although she was not personally familiar with all of the prefects, so it could still be one. She walked past the many shelves hoping to find the one her peer was in. They were all lined with dusty books, but she finally found one with a girl sitting in it. She racked her mind for the name, and it came, Ariana Krum, half-blood sixth year. Addie laughed at the threat passed through the other girl's lips.
"Sweetheart, you couldn't send me to St. Mungo's if you hexed me thirty times." She sneered, knowing the girl probably would not win in a proper duel against her anyways. "Shield charms are quite useful, especially when you don't have to cast them at a moment's notice,"
She picked the silver and green necklace off of her warm skin, to show the other girl the Malfoy family crest. It was magiced to hold the shield, and it was the best her father could buy her. After the incident in her first year he couldn't be more careful about her safety. She sighed to herself, she had been hoping to find the library empty, as it should be this time of night. It would have prevented any uncalled for arguments.
